ADSL Max 8Mb/s Service
 

2006 has seen the launch of ADSL Max services across the UK. With over 5,400 exchanges now supporting higher speed broadband, Max has coverage of over 99.6% of all UK business premises.

This new service allows businesses to obtain line rates of 8 Mb/s download, so everyone can reap higher rewards from their office broadband. And with an upload of 0.8 Mb/s, 3 times the speed of its predecessor, the product can keep up with the increasing demands of business applications.

 
 

Can I get it?
ADSL Max is provided through over 5,400 exchanges across the country. This means there are only about 200 exchanges which will not receive this upgrade. The product itself is also highly reliant on distance limitations like ADSL. This means that a customer only a few hundred meters from one of these exchanges should expect to receive 8 Mb/s, while those a few kilometres away may struggle to receive 2 Mb/s.
