VPN
Virtual Private Networking gives businesses the ability to communicate securely with other offices and remote workers, as if they were all in the same office. Fluidata tries to fully understand customers’ requirements prior to deploying a VPN solution to ensure it is correctly designed from the ground up and will meet expectations.
VPNs are widely supported across different types of routers and firewalls, although Fluidata recommends and prefers to work with Cisco hardware. Fluidata can design scalable VPN networks, with security completely configurable at each site down to individual protocols and ports. Fluidata can also support secure VPN dial-in access for remote and home workers.
What hardware is required for a VPN?
Software on a computer or laptop is sufficient for home workers, but a dedicated firewall or router is needed for head office/remote sites. We will help advise on the right hardware, configure it and manage it.
Can we use existing hardware?
Yes, but Fluidata will need to quote on this on a per-site basis, after examining existing configurations. We recommend using Cisco and Juniper hardware as we believe it offers the best reliability and security.
What about sites around the world?
Any site either in the UK, Europe or globally can be linked into your VPN network. We have helped customers connect sites from around the world into their existing VPN.
